Bullying isn’t just something kids go through.
It doesn’t magically stop when you graduate or leave school. It follows you, sometimes for years, sometimes forever.
We need to talk about what bullying really does to a person. Because the effects? They don’t always show up as bruises. They show up as anxiety. As depression. As chronic self-doubt. As complex PTSD from years of invalidation, manipulation, and silence.
This movement isn’t just for youth.
It’s for every adult still carrying the weight of what happened to them in childhood. Every survivor who’s been told to “get over it,” when what they really needed was to be heard.
Bullying isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s emotional. Sometimes it’s psychological. Sometimes it’s social, subtle, and designed to isolate. And sometimes, it takes root in workplaces, families, or relationships long after childhood ends.
But here’s the truth: You’re not weak for still feeling it. You’re human. And you deserve to heal.
This is Day 3 of the Echo Movement.
A national campaign to expose the truth about bullying in the U.S. To tell the stories that got dismissed. To give voice to survivors who were never believed.
