Bullying isn’t just “mean behavior.” To be considered bullying, it must meet three criteria:
- It’s repeated
- It’s intentional
- It involves a power imbalance
Whether it’s in a classroom, workplace, home, or church—if all three of those are present, it’s bullying. Not a misunderstanding. Not drama. Not “kids being kids.” It’s abuse of power.
The Echo Movement is working to change how bullying is documented, recognized, and reported. Our goal is to make sure victims are believed and protected, not ignored or retraumatized.
